Today we would like to introduce you to something very special – the Blender i3d exporter from our community member stjerneidioten
You can do this in Blender 2.81 by pressing Shift+A then going to Image Reference. In all honesty, it doesn't matter whether you choose reference or background. The added image will be directly facing the viewport camera at the time of adding it, so align your viewport to the correct orientation you want the image to first. Blender 2.82a includes over 20 fixes to make the latest release rock stable.
Stjerneidioten has been working on this project for several months now and we were able to help him with our knowledge about the FS and what we need as a modding team in a suitable exporter.
So today is the day when we decided together to present the project officially. A few of you have already found the project in advance in GitHub, because it was never hidden.
The exporter is now in a pre-release or beta stage, so that the general public can test the plugin and stjerneidition can collect more feedback.
In the current version, the exporter already offers many features of the Autodesk Maya i3d exporter such as i3d mapping, merge groups, bones animations/skinning.
Important note: The exporter requires Blender 2.83 or later!
Our member Redphoenix intensively accompanied the tests and development and so we already implemented a first mod completely from Blender into the game without using the Giants Editor for postprocessing.
The exporter is able to take over all necessary functions for ingaming, for a program you can use for free.
For the latest version, support and feedback check out:

You can also use our discord server for questions, where you can find stjerneidioten.
There will also be a video tutorial for the exporter in the next days.
We wish you a lot of fun with this great plugin!

What Blender requires.
Blender requires a PC with atleast 2GB RAM minimum and A Dual Core Processor to run.
i use blender on a pentium Dual Core 2GHz with no Graphics card but that stopped with blender 2.79 because My Display Adapter couldn't run programs that use the opengl 3.3 API and that is what Blender 2.8 is using
Minimum Requirements:
- Processor intel Core i3, Core i5
- Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 850, 950 series or Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 and above
- Video RAM: 2-4GB
- Display: 1080 resolution
- RAM: 4GB
Recommended Requirements:
- Processor intel Core i7 – 4 to 6 cores, i9, Xenon, AMD threadripper
- Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080, 1080 Ti or Nvidia RTX all series, AMD Pro Duo
- Video RAM: 8-11GB
- Display: 1440 resolution
- RAM: 8-16GB
How To Solve the OpenGL Error.
Pong iphone x. if you own a low end PC like the one above, there is an article i wrote that can help u run any blender on any potato PC starting with blender 2.79 to 2.8 and above.
if you own a high end like xenon, i7, i5 or middle end PC like an i3 then all you need is to update your Graphics Card Drivers to the latest version to support the required OpenGL version.

How to speed up the rendering in Cycles and Eevee
Am going to give you only 4 major ways of speeding up the rendering
Blender 2.80 Download
1. Reduce the render samples in the render properties panel minimum is 128 to 500 samples and max is your choice probably 1000 samples and in Eevee 32 samples to 64 are enough
increase the samples when your PC can render a minimum sample fast like the one with Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti.if your PC is so slow use Denoise at 50 Samples or even 32 samples to reduce the Noise in your scene
2. Change the resolution:
High Resolution rendering is great and everything but if you have a potato PC, the rendering sucks, at 1080p your PC will call all its ancestors to help it render
For an Artist with a recommended PC, 1080p is piece of cake, renders in just seconds.
3. Render using theGPU
if you have an Nvidia GPU then goto preferences on the Edit Menu, or in the file menu, on the Compute Device Click the CUDA Tab and select your Card, for AMD, click the OpenCL Tab, For RTX, its tab too wil be available.in previous versions of blender select from the Render Properties panel Compute device
The GPU renders faster than the CPU for benchmarks check this linkIf your render is slow and you have an Nvidia, it means your rendering using the CPU
4. Change your Tile Size
When rendering, those boxes that appear while rendering have a huge impact on your rendering.
change them to a higher value according to your resolution for faster render, 128×64, 164×165, 240×240, 320×320. bigger tiles render faster than small tiles, but this depends on your Cores and threads.
Bonus: use RenderLayers, they stress your compute Device less. they dont render fast but they are useful for Composition

How to Speed Up Blender 2.8 performance
Blender 2.82 Download
Ableton vs logic 2017. By performance i mean its workflow, interface, simulations, Animations and so many others.
- install blender on Linux, Ubuntu is the best because its lightweight, less resource hungry, this lets blender utilize all the power your PC has to offer.
- Use Layers, these improve on the Viewport responsiveness when. handling high polygon scenes or objects.
- Use wireframe view when Editing, its faster and wont slow down your PC.
- Close all programs in the background, and run blender only.
- When using modifiers, always set the View to 1 and then the final to your desired value like the subdivide modifier, Fluid Resolution and more
- Do not run blender on an emulator like VMWare it will be very slow.
- Use Dark Theme, its saves battery and it reduces eye strain.
- Learn how to use shotcuts, they speed up the workflow.
- Hide objects with high polygons uaing the eye icon toggle in the outliner.
- Disable plugins or addons you don't use, they slow down blender startup.
